
International Work and Presentations
Dr. Vaughan-Eden is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in child maltreatment and forensic social work. She has presented to multidisciplinary audiences across the United States and around the globe, including in Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
Since 2024, she has served on the Advisory Council of the World Childhood Foundation USA, an organization founded in 1999 by Queen Silvia of Sweden to protect children's right to a safe and loving childhood. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the living conditions of children, particularly those at risk of violence and sexual abuse. Recently, she was consultant to the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank Group (WBG), and the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI).
In 2011, Dr. Vaughan-Eden was a participant in the historic First Russian-American Child Welfare Forum, part of the Obama-Medvedev Bilateral Presidential Commission's Civil Society Working Group. She later served as co-chair for both the Second (2012) and Third (2013) Russian-American Child Welfare Forums. Additionally, Dr. Vaughan-Eden was invited to participate in the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) Roundtable on Child Sexual Abuse, where she contributed to an international review of effective intervention practices.
As a clinical and forensic social worker specializing in the assessment and treatment of child maltreatment, Dr. Vaughan-Eden regularly lectures to interdisciplinary professionals and collaborates with colleagues worldwide.
