Dr. Vaughan-Eden was honored to present at the United Arab Emirates
University College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Social Work, in Al Ain, UAE.
To celebrate Social Work Month, Dr. Karen Smith Rotabi-Casares, MSW Program Coordinator, invited
Viola to serve as the keynote speaker. Her presentations, "Lessons Learned: A Forensic Social
Work Approach to Child Abuse" and "Forensic Interviewing of Suspected Child Sexual Abuse", provided
critical insights into child protection practices.
Through these sessions, participants explored key aspects of forensic social work, including:
